Spring Break in TN

Pictures from our cabin in Gatlinburg

Enjoying our stay at White Oak Lodge and Resort. We highly recommend this place. The cabins are new and so very nice. All the comforts of home along with hot tubs, wi-fi, fireplace and awesome views.

Cabin Fever

It's Spring Break....woohoo! We are in Gatlinburg staying in a cabin. The kids were so anxious to get here we probably heard 'how much longer' 100 times. I can't blame them. It was a long trip up. But, once we get here it's well worth it. This place is fabulous. After the long drive, Spence and Lauren were anxious to get outside and roam.

Rock climbing..lite.

Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby Winner

Spencer was the 2nd place winner at the Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby recently. You would have thought he won an Academy Award. He was SO excited.

He accepted his trophy with a big THANK YOU....

And posed for pictures.

An exciting end to the morning.

Considering Dad had to do most of the work....he was pretty pleased too. The look on Spencer's face was worth every minute. One of those moments of pure joy!

Our Little George Washington

Spencer had a school project to research a famous American. He also had to dress up like his character and present it at school. He was George Washington and a very cute one too! Unfortunately I didn't get to be there but thanks to his grandparents he was represented and spoiled and loved. Thanks to Pop for the pictures.

My handsome boy looking somewhat colonial....

George and Abe.....good friends

With his best pal at school who was Jackie Robinson. Great Job Guys!

It was a full day and quite an exciting weekend. The next morning was the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. I'll share some pictures on that next time. His car was fast so he had a blast!

Adios!

Fun Friday Photos

Lauren picked her own outfit recently. I'm not sure what look she was going for but she chose a Hannah Montana purse, bedroom slippers, a shawl and pink skirt and shirt.

Of course there's chapstick inside the purse. Every princess needs soft lips, right.

Here's my little Cub Scout getting ready. So proud of his badges and beads.

These two had a great Valentines day this year. Since I was trying to avoid SO much candy and junk, I went for practical items. They loved them. Lauren finally got a girly booster seat for the car and Spencer got a scooter. Even the cat had to check out the scene.

Have a great weekend. TGIF!!

SNOW in Alabama

It happens only about once a year or less but yesterday we had a beautiful, snowy day. The kids had a blast playing outside. Problem is we just really aren't prepared for this kind of weather. We had to bundle in layers and change their gloves often but they didn't mind. Their little red faces tell a different story.

It all melted with the afternoon sun and this morning only traces can be seen. It leaves as fast as it comes in. But, the timing couldn't have been better since it was the weekend. Later this week 70's are expected. Crazy southern weather.
Enjoy your Monday.
