Happy 5th Birthday Lauren!

Happy Birthday to our sweet five year old girl. How did the time pass so quickly. It seems like she should still be a toddler sitting in my lap in the rocking chair. Luckily, she still fits in my lap and is willing to snuggle every day.

On Saturday we had a party with friends from school at an indoor sports play place. They had a great time with their 'coach' and ran themselves ragged.

Then it was time for cake. Hello Kitty was the theme this year.

And opening gifts...



Here she is with all her presents....except one.


She got a new big-girl bike and loved it. She hopped on and took off, even without shoes ;)


After another celebration at pre-school with classmates it was on to the movies then out to dinner for Mexican.

She got a birthday flan, more singing and loved wearing their sombrero.



It was a weekend of celebration but her excitement made it all the more enjoyable.
Sugar and spice and everything nice. That's what little girls are made of.

Cub Scouts Blue & Gold

Spencer got his Tiger Cub badge at the Blue and Gold Awards on Tuesday. He worked really hard for this badge and was very excited to earn it.

Lauren goes riding

On Sunday Lauren got a chance to ride a horse for the first time. Her friend from school had a cowgirl party and about 20 little four and five year olds took over the farm. Surprisingly, Lauren wasn't scared at all even though the horses were huge! She did great and had big smiles during her ride.

Gatlinburg Review

Why is it that vacations pass by so quickly? The week off flies by then it's back to the routine...work, school, cook, clean, sleep, work. We really enjoyed our time in TN. So, I have a few more pictures to share from our trip. We played Miniature Golf with the kids for the first time, hit an Arcade one day and took a drive to the Smoky Mountain National Park.
